2016 Refosco


Winemaker’s Notes

Yields per hectare are restricted to balance the energy of this varietal. Grapes are gradually selected from flowering to the harvest. All the operations such as pruning, thinning, and harvesting are done by hand. Grapes are de-stemmed and crushed gently. Fermentation and maceration follows with a duration of 12 to 15 days, depending on the year. The wine is transferred to French barriques for malolactic fermentation and
ageing, generally never less than 16 months.

Tasting notes

Ruby red wines with aromas of dark plums and blackberries, violets and leather. The wines has
beautiful flavours of blackberries, plums and tobacco with smooth tannins and good acidity.

Serving Suggestion

Pair this with grilled meats such as beef, lamb or venison, hearty pasta dishes.
