Ed’s Red is the creation of Adastra co-owner Edwin Richards. For years Edwin had suffered the frustrating scenario familiar to many wine lovers, you are just looking for a pleasant red wine without opening an expensive bottle. Edwin’s solution to this problem is Ed’s Red, a blended wine designed to appeal to those who expect a decent glass of wine at a decent price. Aged up to 29 months in both new and used French Oak barrels, drinking now through 2027. Only 128 cases made.

Tasting notes

Ed’s Red is a flavourful and full-bodied wine with aromas and flavors of plums, cherries,
berries and spice; beautifully soft tannins.  This Napa Valley appellation wine is a blend of
Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and micro amounts of Petit Verdot, Zinfandel and Merlot.
