Winemaker’s Notes

Grapes were hand harvested, sorted and fermented in stainless tanks for 15 days. Aged for 20 months in 20% new French oak.

Tasting notes

​

The Proprietary Red is a true expression of California’s finest appelations. A Bordeaux blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Sirah from Napa Valley, this wine is
beautiful ruby colour with notes of ripe red berries, blueberries, plums, vanilla and herbs. On
the palate the wine is medium to full bodied and juicy with complex flavours of cherries, ripe red
berries, chocolate and spices. The tannins are ripe and the wine has a beautiful silky texture
and lingering finish.
